Try left, right and middle click a few times. Add the back and forward buttons if your mouse has them.

The matching part of the mouse stays lit while you hold a button. Release it and try again.

Roll the wheel in both directions, then move around the test area. Watch each counter respond.

Mouse button click counts
Each button has its own counter. Releasing a button adds no extra click. Total clicks combines all five buttons.
Scroll events and pointer movement
Up and down count browser scroll events, not wheel notches. Movement adds up the pointer’s path in screen pixels.
Basic input check: 6 out of 6
Receiving all basic inputs is a useful first check. Keep testing for consistency; a single response does not prove hardware health.

How do I check if my mouse is working?
Keep the pointer in the test area and try each button, both scroll directions and movement. Compare the counters with your deliberate inputs. If something does not respond, repeat it and compare another browser or mouse. A received event confirms input recognition, not complete hardware health.
Can I test a wireless or gaming mouse?
Yes. Wired, USB receiver and Bluetooth mice can be tested if they send standard mouse events to the browser. Extra gaming buttons mapped to keyboard commands or macros may not appear as mouse buttons here.
Why are my Back and Forward buttons not detected?
Some mice do not have side buttons; those inputs are optional. If yours does, check their assignments in mouse software. This tester can only show side-button events that reach the page.
What does 6 out of 6 mean?
The browser received left, right and middle click, scroll up, scroll down and movement at least once. Back and Forward are optional. You can keep testing after 6/6 to compare repeated presses; completion is not a durability or sensor test.
Does this mouse tester measure click speed?
The home page counts presses without a time limit. It does not calculate clicks per second or score your clicking speed. Use the Double Click Test to investigate extra presses while clicking slowly.
Do I need to install anything or create an account?
No. Test calculations run in your browser without an account or installation. We use website analytics to improve the experience; see Privacy & analytics in the footer. Use a physical mouse for a complete check; a touchscreen or trackpad cannot reproduce every mouse button.
