A response test, not a measurement of mouse hardware latency.

    Five signals. One useful comparison.

This test measures the time between a visual signal and your response in this browser. It includes your reaction and the effects of your computer, display and input device. It does not isolate mouse hardware latency or measure your health.

How to use the reaction time test

    1. Click the pad to get ready. Keep your pointer in place and wait while it says Wait for Green.

    2. When the pad changes and says Click Now, respond once. Clicking early repeats the same round without adding a score.

    3. Click to continue until five valid rounds are complete. Review all five times and the median, then start a fresh set if you want to compare.

    Understanding your result

The median is the middle value after sorting your five results. It reduces the influence of one unusually slow or fast round. Use the same screen, browser and input method when comparing sets. Mouse, touch and keyboard records are kept separately; mixing methods within a set is not counted.

    Frequently Asked Questions

Can this measure my mouse's input lag?

No. Your visual response, display timing, operating system and browser all contribute. A lower score is a faster response in this setup, not a measurement of the mouse switch's hardware delay.

Can I use a keyboard or touchscreen?

Yes. Focus the pad and use Space or Enter, or tap the pad on a touchscreen. Use the same method for all five rounds. Key repeat does not count as a new response.

What happens if I click too early?

The round is marked Too Soon. Click to prepare again; completed rounds in the current set remain. Leaving the page, losing focus, resizing or Escape cancels the set and does not save a best.
