Best clean round: —. Only completed rounds with no misses update this record.

A short aiming exercise, without a complicated setup.

Each hit moves the target to a new position inside the field. Misses stay in the same round and reduce accuracy. The target size stays fixed, so you can focus on moving and clicking rather than choosing settings. This is hand-eye practice, not a sensor accuracy test.

How to use the aim trainer

  1. Select Start Practice. Your first target appears in the center; the timer begins when you hit it.

  2. Hit the next target as it appears. Clicking the field outside the target records a miss. Targets stay fully inside the field.

  3. Finish 30 targets to see elapsed time, average time per target and accuracy. Try Again begins a new round. Keep the same window size and input method when comparing.

Understanding your result

Accuracy is hits divided by all attempts, including misses. The first target starts the clock, so average transition time divides the elapsed time by the remaining 29 targets. A personal best records the fastest completed round with 100% accuracy, separately by input method and field size; interrupted or mixed-input rounds do not update it.

Frequently Asked Questions

Does a lower score mean my mouse is broken?

No. Practice, pointer settings, input method and available space all affect performance. This tool cannot diagnose sensor defects. Use the dedicated mouse input tests if buttons or scrolling behave unexpectedly.

Does it work on touchscreens or with a keyboard?

Touch works, and a focused target can be activated with Space or Enter for an accessible keyboard round. The input method is shown and records are separate. Those results should not be compared as if they were all mouse aiming.

Why did my round stop?

The round is cancelled if you leave the tab, lose window focus, resize the window or press Escape. Keeping a stable field prevents changes in target positions or available space during a comparison.
